The Texas Master Naturalist program develops teams of "master volunteers" to provide educational and outreach services aimed at the better management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities. The Texas Master Naturalist program is a partnership between the AgriLIFE Extension Service, Texas Parks & Wildlife, and other local partners.

The Tierra Grande chapter covers primarily Brewster, Jeff Davis and Presidio counties in the Big Bend region.

Our Mission is "to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers who provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural area within our community ."

Our fall 2009 training classes have been scheduled! Please visit "How to Join" for more information on applying. The application deadline for this fall's class is July 15, 2009.
