Research

Applied research in integrated brush control involving individual plant treatments. This work includes evaluation of treatments for brush species currently lacking control recommendations and evaluation of alternative herbicide carriers. Applied research in range animal nutrition using near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) fecal analysis to estimate diet quality and a computer decision support system (Nutritional Balance AnalyzerNUTBAL) to estimate animal nutritional status (see Range management program).
