Through the years the Smith County Master Gardeners have had events and projects which produce income in support of the needs of the association.

One of the primary uses of these funds have been for scholarships which support horticulture students at two state universities.

Each year scholarships are provided to students at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX and Texas A&M University in College Station, TX.
