The Rockwall County Master Gardener Association is in high gear preparing for the 2010 Tour of Gardens. Tickets will be $ 8.00. This year’s tour will feature five private gardens with a variety of styles, one public garden designed and implemented by a Rockwall County Master Gardener and the Rockwall County Discovery Garden. We are very excited about the 7th annual Tour of Gardens and hope you will join us!
You will find that all of the private gardens feature beautiful hardscapes and stonework. The use of landscape to create seamless outdoor living spaces is becoming more popular. Outdoor rooms provide great enjoyment for entertaining and/or private retreats. They also increase the value of your home by giving increased usable square footage! Whatever your taste is, you are sure to find inspiration for your own outdoor retreat in more than one of these spectacular gardens. The Rockwall County Discovery Garden will be making its 4th appearance on the tour. This collaborative effort of the Rockwall ISD Ag Department, is an educational garden with the mission of educating both youth and adults in Rockwall County. The goal of the garden is to grow the enjoyment of gardening in the county by offering demonstrations on site while allowing residents to see first hand recommended plants for our area. The garden has really grown since last year, stop by the Discovery Garden and see all of the new features!
