Special Emphasis Programs for Texas

Special Emphasis Programs for Texas

This program was started by Garey Wylie in 2007 while he served as Vice President. It is an evergreen program that is ever-changing. The program provides our County Master Gardening Associations an opportunity to work together on State Level Projects while maintaining our local autonomy.
After a worthy State Level Project is identified by our membership, leadership is taken on by one of our Local County Associations who develops then coordinates the project across the State with the other Local County Associations. Each project initially has a maximum life of five years. After five years the project will be reviewed for continuation.
Our Special Emphasis Programs for Texas, while in its infancy, has proven to be very successful. If your county is not participating in one of our current projects below please contact the chairperson indicated to get started.
If you have ideas on new projects for consideration please contact me.

Thanks.
First Vice-President
