In order to retain the title of Master Gardener, you must take 6 hours of recertification training and 24 hours of volunteer work through the Extension office every year. The additional training may be toward a specialist title in entomology, earthkind, fire ant, firewise, Junior Master Gardener, Oak Wilt, propagation and rainwater.
