Heritage Garden of Hunt County is located on a block adjacent to Texas AgriLife Extension Office at
2217 Washington Street, Greenville, Texas.

Its History 
The Heritage Garden of Hunt County was developed in 2001. With much planning, numerous volunteers and many hours of labor, Heritage Garden has become what it today. What used to be a vacant lot is now a beautiful green space enhancing downtown Greenville. Master Gardener volunteers throughout the years have overseen the design, maintenance, and expansion of this teaching resource.

Its Purpose 
Heritage Garden is a teaching and demonstration garden with the purpose of improving gardening skills throughout our community. With the cooperative effort of Texas A&M, AgriLIFE Extension and Hunt County Master Gardeners, Heritage Garden provides many recommended cultivars of plants for our are such as: Earthkind© Roses
and Texas Superstar© plant selections.
A few of the many topics available that are taught in the garden are water conservation, composting, and plant propagation.
