The horse project in Victoria County meets year round and offers a variety of events to youth. Horse quiz bowl, horse judging, and horse shows are just a few ways that youth can become involved in the project. Several horse shows are offered around the area during the spring months. The District Horse show is held every year in June with the State Horse show following in July. 4-H youth do not have to be a member of the Rough Riders 4-H Club to participate in the horse project.
