What Exactly Is 4-H?

4-H is... an organization more than a century old, steeped in tradition, yet has managed to remain fluid enough to adapt to all of the cultural changes of our society. 

4-H is... a youth organization that encourages and promotes growth and development of young people through the supervision and guidance of adult leaders and County Extension Agents.

4-H Is... a non-profit, education program which is open to all youth in the county, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, ethnicity, national origin, or socio-economic background.

4-H is... an exciting youth program that helps young people learn to do new and interesting things through "hands on" projects. Though there are no dues associated with membership, each member is responsible for financing their own projects.

4-H is... a community of clubs in every county of every state across the nation; comprised of young people learning leadership, citizenship and life skills in preparation to become the leaders of tomorrow.
