County awards are presented at the Annual 4-H Awards Program to recognize members who have done a good job with their project on the basis of their completed current 4-H Record Book.
A complete 4-H Record Book consists of the Personal Information Page, 4-H Story & Photo Portfolio, and 4-H Report Forms. Senior Record Books must contain a resume.
The Record Book Committee will be appointed during the September Fort Bend 4-H Parent Leaders meeting.
- Judging will be based upon objectives listed in the current Texas 4-H Clover Opportunities Handbook.
- The official judge's score sheet will be the form used for judging on the county level. Texas 4-H Score Sheets will be used to judge all record books.
- All complete record books will be judged and classified blue, red, or white ribbons based on the score sheet.
- All county 4-H record books are due in the County Extension Office by 5 p.m. two weeks prior to the District judging date, unless advised otherwise by the Awards & Recognition Committee.
- Awards for record books will be given based on the level of completion.
- County level record books will receive an engraved paperweight
- District level record books will receive a plaque
- State level record books will receive a trophy
Only one award will be received. First place state winners in each division will be presented $100 by the Fort Bend 4-H Parent Leaders in addition to an award.
