One day can make a difference.
One day 4-H is going to change Texas.
October 10, 2009 is the day
4-H is going to change Texas and Fort Bend County. National 4-H week is being
recognized October 4-10; and, on this day, October 10, 4-H clubs all over Texas
will be going out in their communities to lend a helping hand and make a
difference. Fort Bend County 4-H members will be helping out county animal
shelters by collecting much needed supplies for shelters in Sugar Land, Missouri
City, Stafford, Rosenberg, and Fort Bend County Animal Control. 4-H members
will also be showing their support for local animal shelters by participating in
the October 10th "Paws for a Cause" dog walk at Sugar Land's Memorial Park.
Fort Bend County 4-H members are now collecting donations that will be delivered
to the animal shelters on October 10. This one day is an unprecedented
opportunity for outreach and for our youth to show Texas, our country and the
world why 4-H is the future.
